Bintulu, Sarawak – On June 12 and 13, 2025, Pertama Ferroalloys Sdn. Bhd. conducted a vital Kiken Yochi (Hazard Prediction) Training at its plant site in Training Room 1, reinforcing its dedication to workplace safety. Led by expert trainer Mr. Mohd Shaharuddin Abdul Latiff, the two-day session brought together employees from the QHSSE-FM, Production, Maintenance, Laboratory, and Maintenance Project departments to emphasize on hazard awareness and proactive risk management. The training centered on the Kiken Yochi Training (KYT) 4-Round Method, a structured approach to identifying and mitigating workplace hazards. Participants explored key safety concepts, including the distinction between unsafe acts and conditions, and learned practical tools like the “Point and Call” (Yubisashi Kosho) technique for hazard confirmation. The Hiyari-Hatto near-miss reporting system was also introduced, encouraging employees to report potential risks to prevent accidents. Timbalan Menteri di Jabatan Premier Sarawak (Buruh, Imigresen dan Pemantauan Projek), Datuk Gerawat Gala merakamkan penghargaan kepada syarikat tersebut atas inisiatif yang memperindah serta menyelenggara kemudahan komuniti berkenaan. “Program ini bukan sekadar menaik taraf bangunan tetapi turut menyemai semangat gotong-royong, kebersamaan dan tanggungjawab bersama antara syarikat dan masyarakat setempat,” katanya dalam kenyataan hari ini.
