Bintulu, 5 May 2025 – Pertama Ferroalloys (PFA) proudly took center stage as the main sponsor of the inaugural Piala Yang Berhormat Dato Majang Renggi Badminton Tournament, held on 3–4 May 2025 at Tong Yen Trading Badminton Court.  The event, officiated by YB Dato Majang Renggi, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure and Port Development, and ADUN N.70 Samalaju, Bintulu, brought together local talent and ignited community spirit through sports. PFA’s commitment to community development was evident through its generous sponsorship of MYR4,000. Additionally, 16 PFA staff participated in the tournament, showcasing teamwork and enthusiasm on the court. PFA’s sponsorship aligns with its vision to be a sustainable corporation, in line with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in promoting community involvement and development through sports.  The event provided a meaningful platform to unite residents, showcase athletic talent, and deepen ties amongst the Bintulu community.

Bintulu, 3 May 2025 – Pertama Ferroalloys (PFA) proudly participated in the Bintulu Cops Run 2025, held on 3 May at Farley Medan Jaya, Bintulu.  The event, graced by SAC Rizal Abd Rahman Sidek, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Sarawak, and Head of the Management Department, Sarawak Police Contingent, saw an impressive turnout of over 1,000 participants, including 77 PFA staff and their families. PFA’s commitment to community engagement and sustainability was evident through its contribution of 61 participants in the 5km category and 20 in the 10km category.  The event fostered inclusivity, bringing together employees from various departments and their families, as captured in vibrant group photos showcasing team spirit. Bintulu, Sarawak – On April 24, 2025, Pertama Ferroalloys Sdn Bhd (PFA) celebrated a key achievement: the handover of its 2025 Fire Certificate renewal at the Bintulu Fire and Rescue Station (Zone 5). This moment reflects PFA’s deep commitment to safety and its role as a responsible leader in the Samalaju Industrial Park (SIP). PFA was represented by Mr. Sidi and Mr. Wan Iskandar, who met with esteemed members of the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (BOMBA). The BOMBA team was led by PgKB Mr. Wan Kamarudin Wan Ahmad, Head of Bintulu and Samalaju, alongside PgB Mr. Aysraf, PKPgB Mr. Erwin Abidin, PKPgB Mr. Chong, PKPgB Mr. Suna bin Hj Kaha, and PPgB Mr. Kumar Tajan.  The Fire Certificate, renewed annually under the Malaysia Fire Services (Fire Certificate) Regulations 2001 and the Fire Services Act 1988, is valid for one year and confirms that PFA’s facilities meet rigorous fire safety

Kuching, Sarawak – 17/4/2025 Pertama Ferroalloys was honoured to be part of the Rindok Raya celebration organised by the Regional Corridor Development Authority (RECODA), held in the spirit of unity, compassion, and community. The festive gathering brought together government agencies, corporate partners, and local stakeholders to share the joy of Hari Raya with those in need. The event was further blessed by the presence of YAB Premier of Sarawak, who graciously joined in the celebration, lending significance and warmth to the occasion. Lawas, 15 March 2024 – Pertama Ferroalloys Sdn Bhd proudly joined hands with the Muslim Welfare Organization Malaysia (PERKIM) Lawas Branch to bring joy and support to the local community during the Hari Raya Aidilfitri Charity Donation event.  Held at the Seri Sari Hall, Hotel Seri Malaysia Lawas, the event saw an inspiring turnout of 550 attendees, with a total of 1,261 recipients—including disabled children (OKU), orphans, single mothers, and senior citizens—benefiting from the initiative. The event was graced by distinguished guests, including The Honourable Datuk Amar Haji Awang Tengah Ali Hasan, Deputy Premier of Sarawak and Minister of International Trade,Industry, and Investment, as well as Second Minister for Natural Resources and Urban Development. Representatives from Tsukuba University Japan participated in the 2025 Singapore International Challenge, held from February 18 to 23 at the Singapore Badminton Hall East Coast. This event, sanctioned by the Badminton World Federation (BWF) and Badminton Asia, showcased emerging talents in the sport. The Tsukuba University duo of Yamagishi Takumi and Kamiyama Koki competed fiercely in the Men’s Doubles category, successfully advancing to Round 16, where they played against Malaysian team. Meanwhile, fellow players for the Women’s Double Kamiyama Wakana and Suzaki Saori also reached Round 16 in their division against Thai team. Mr Yuki Nakamura expressed his support to the team, an alumnus of Tsukuba University. His commitment to supporting badminton talent extends beyond the tournament, as he has taken an active role in promoting the sport in Malaysia.  Nakamura previously organized badminton workshops for local schools in Bintulu, Sarawak, on September 23 and 24, 2024. Belawai, February 9, 2025 – The Polytechnic Mukah proudly concluded its Student Travel Program from February 7th to 9th, 2025, aimed at enhancing consumer advocacy and community service among its students and local residents. The event took place across multiple venues, including the Rajang Village Hall, Jerijeh Village Hall, Belawai Village Hall, and Abang Gesa Primary School Belawai, bringing together diverse participants to foster collaboration and growth. Tokyo, Dec 17: In a landmark step towards economic advancement, community development, and sustainability in Sarawak, the Bintulu Development Authority (BDA) has acquired a 10% equity stake in Pertama Ferroalloys Sdn Bhd through a Share Transfer Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). According to a news report by Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS), the agreement was officially signed during a ceremony in Tokyo, Japan today, with Pertama Ferroalloys chairman and managing director Hirotaka Suzukki and BDA general Manager Datu Muhamad Yakup Kari representing their respective organizations. The momentous occasion was witnessed by Sarawak Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Zohari Tun Openg. The strategic partnership builds on the collaborative successes of Pertama Ferroalloys and BDA, notably the bamboo cultivation project launched in November 2023, which underscored their shared commitment to sustainability and environmental conservation. Speaking at the event, Suzuki highlighted that the collaboration extends beyond financial investment, aiming to deliver societal and
