PFA Strengthens Community Ties and Support to Sarawak at BDA Aidilfitri Open House in Bintulu

Bintulu, Sarawak – 30 March 2026 PFA reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the Sarawak Government and strengthening relationships with local communities through its participation in the Aidilfitri Open House organised by the Bintulu Development Authority (BDA) at Dewan Suarah Bintulu.

The event, which attracted more than 3,000 visitors, brought together government representatives, industry players and members of the public in celebration of Aidilfitri, reflecting the spirit of unity and inclusivity among Sarawak’s multicultural society.

Officiated by the Deputy Minister of Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment of Sarawak, Datuk Len Talif Salleh, who represented the Premier of Sarawak, the open house underscored the importance of strong collaboration between the public and private sectors in fostering social cohesion.

As part of its community support initiatives, PFA contributed to the hospitality segment of the event, offering a selection of well-loved local food and beverages to guests. PFA’s food offerings included Mee Kolok, Bakso, Coconut Shake and Coconut Drinks, providing a warm and welcoming experience while celebrating Sarawak’s rich culinary heritage.

Through its participation, PFA demonstrated its continued support for government-led community programmes and its commitment to engaging meaningfully with the people of Sarawak, in line with its broader corporate responsibility agenda.

Speaking at the event, Deputy Chairman of the Bintulu Development Authority, Dato Haidar Khan Asghar Khan, highlighted that such gatherings play an important role in strengthening harmony and goodwill among diverse communities, while reinforcing partnerships between the government, industry and the public.

The celebration featured 37 booth involving various organizations around Bintulu, including Village Development and Security Committees (JKKK), reflecting strong grassroots participation.

Among the distinguished guests were BDA General Manager Datu Muhammad Yakup Kari, Bintulu Division Resident Datu Nyurak Keti, State Development Director and BDA Board Member Jasni Jubli, Tanjong Batu Assemblyman Johnny Pang Leong Ming, and Jepak Assemblyman Iskandar Turkee, alongside other community leaders.

PFA remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote unity, social well-being and sustainable community development across Sarawak, and looks forward to continued collaboration with government agencies and local stakeholders.
