Pertama Ferroalloys Hosts 2025 HSE Campaign -“Let’s Go Home Safe and Healthy,”
BINTULU, SARAWAK – On 25 August 2025, Pertama Ferroalloys Sdn Bhd hosted its annual Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Campaign, a week-long event aimed at raising awareness and promoting best practices among employees and stakeholders. The campaign, themed “Let’s Go Home Safe and Healthy,” brought together key Samalaju industry players and government agencies at the Pertama Ferroalloys facility.
The event, a yearly initiative recommended by DOSH, was officially kicked off by the Guest of Honor, Tuan Mohd Azam Bin Tumijan @ Tomichan, Head of DOSH Bintulu Branch.The campaign served as a crucial platform to remind all participants of the importance of maintaining safety standards, to minimize hazards and protect personal and corporate well-being.
Pertama Ferroalloys welcomed partners and peers from across the Samalaju Industrial Park, including OM Material (Sarawak), PMB Silicon, Sakura Ferroalloys, Cahaya Mata Phosephate, Samalaju Port and Press Metal. Several government and private sector organizations also participated, such as SIRIM Berhad, PDRM Samalaju, and Kemena Pacific Hospital, DOE, NREB, BDA, PERKESO, underscoring the collaborative effort to enhance health and safety protocols.
Campaign Chairman Madam Vaness Manty highlighted the goal of the event: to “inspire real action and ownership across all levels.”
QHSSE-FM Senior Manager Mr. Ibrahim Bujang challenged attendees to consider what they would do to ensure everyone goes home safe and healthy, adding, “Let’s make this campaign a turning point not just for our company, but for our entire industrial community.”
The event concluded with a strong message from Tuan Mohd Azam, who praised the participants for their commitment and emphasized the collective responsibility in fostering a safe and healthy work environment.
